Funeral Prices
As an Independent Funeral Director, Bakers Funerals will provide you with a bespoke and personal funeral for your loved one.
With over 140 years experience of arranging funerals for our local community, we understand how important it is to ensure the funeral service is the perfect tribute. We will arrange all details of the service for you, whether it be a green funeral, a religious ceremony, or if you would prefer a Celebrant or a Humanist Officiant to conduct the funeral.
We have two main funeral options.
The Heritage Attended Funeral provides a cortege from our Chapel of Rest to the local crematorium or church. Mourners meet at the crematorium or church.
The Bespoke Attended Funeral enables you to choose the location of where you would like the cortege to start – whether it be from a home or another place that was loved.

Heritage Attended Funeral

Transportation of the deceased into our care to our Chapel of Rest
Our care of the deceased where they are dressed in a gown we provide
Carrying out the necessary legal and administrative arrangements
Liaison between all parties to arrange a suitable time and date for the funeral
Paying fees in advance on our client’s behalf
Obtaining the relevant statutory forms
Viewing in our Chapel of Rest by appointment in office hours
Lamborne oak effect foil lined coffin fitted with an engraved name plate and external furnishings
Transportation in our funeral hearse from our Chapel of Rest to the crematorium or resting place
Chauffeur
Funeral Director and 4 bearers in attendance
Care of the ashes
Bespoke Attended Funeral

Your Choices
Because we understand the importance of personal choice, we work with you to provide a funeral that suits your own special requirements. We are here to discuss your wishes. If you would like something different or extra from what is included in the Traditional or Bespoke Funeral, we will advise if this means there are any additional costs or logistical considerations. Below are just a few of those choices to consider:
Funeral Transport
Your loved one will be transported in our Mercedes Benz hearse. We do have alternatives, including a horse drawn carriage, for which additional costs are applicable.
Coffin
We provide an oak effect lined coffin fitted with printed name plate and external furnishings. If you would like something different, such as a wicker coffin, then we have a wide choice available. We will be happy to discuss these options and any additional costs with you.
Order of Service
We work with you to discuss your thoughts and requirements and can offer suggestions. We can put together the order of service on your behalf, taking care of the printing and delivery to the service.
DISBURSEMENTS
Disbursements are costs that are necessary but will depend on your choice of funeral. The following items, if required, will be quoted at the time of arrangement and are additional to the items listed above.

Standardised Price List
It is a legal requirement for all Funeral Directors to publish a Standardised Price List. Although the Standardised Price List is designed to enable you to compare like-for-like, it does not reflect the extra level of service we will provide, as an Independent Funeral Director.
